PGF Football Tournament 2009:
"They think it's all over – it is now!"

For nearly three weeks 16 teams have been taking part in the Pattaya Gay Festival Football Tournament 2009 which reached its climax on Saturday (August 29).

Local bars, hotels, restaurants and karaoke bars entered teams all competing to win the top prize of a trophy and 15,000 Baht. The matches were all played at the school sports field on the corner of Second Road and Pattaya Tai (South Road).

On Saturday the first game to be played was the 3rd/4th place playoff between Boyz Boyz Boyz and Jupiter. At full-time the score was 2-2 so the match was decided with a penalty shoot-out which resulted with Jupiter taking 3rd place.

4th place: Boyz Boyz Boyz won 3,000 Baht donated by Mike Walsh (PGF Committee Member) and a trophy; 3rd Place: Jupiter won 6,000 Baht also donated by Mike Walsh and a trophy.

This match was quickly followed by the "Katoey Trophy" challenge between the ladyboys from Copa Showbar and Boyz Boyz Boyz.

The trophy was won by Boyz Boyz Boyz who beat Copa 2-0 (the pictures tell the story).

Then came The Final: Chamnan v Ambiance.

This was a tough game with one player from each team being sent off and at full time the score was 2-2 so again this match when to a penalty shoot-out with Ambiance finally winning 3-2.

Chamnam won the 2nd prize of 10,000 Baht (sponsored by Copa Showbar and Le Caf? Royale) and a trophy.

Ambiance the winners of the tournament received 15,000 Baht (donated by Ambiance and Boyz Boyz Boyz) and a trophy.
